Connect your store. Orders become deliveries.

Step 1

Before you start: get your keys

Every connection, Shopify or your own system, uses the same three details from your DHB business account.

1. You need a DHB business account. No account yet? Open one on our For business page, it takes a few minutes.
2. Message us on WhatsApp and ask us to switch on API access for your account.
3. Log in at app.dhbahrain.bh and open API OAuth2 Keys. Copy your Client Id and Client Secret.
4. Keep the REST (API) domain below ready. You will paste it with your keys.

TipTreat the Client Secret like a password. Share it only with the person setting up your store, never in a public chat or email list.

Step 2

Install the Shopify app and connect

Our Shopify app is free. It turns new Shopify orders into DHB deliveries and sends tracking back to the order.

1. In the Shopify App Store, search for Onro - Local Delivery & Courier Integration. Onro is the technology partner behind the DHB platform.
2. Click Install, choose your store, then click Open.
3. Paste your Client ID and Client Secret from your DHB account.
4. In the REST (API) domain field, enter rest.dhbahrain.bh (without https://).
5. Click Submit. Your store is now connected to DHB.

TipThe app shows the Onro name and logo inside Shopify. It is the same system that powers the DHB app, so orders appear in your DHB account as usual.

Step 3

Set your pickup location

Tell DHB where our rider collects each order.

1. In Shopify, go to Apps → Onro → Settings → Pickup Location.
2. Click Edit next to your Shopify location.
3. Choose the address: the Shopify location address, or a saved address from your DHB address book.
4. To add a new saved address, click New, fill in the details and click Submit.

Step 4

Turn on a delivery method

Orders only reach DHB through a delivery method you switch on. Set the method up in Shopify first, then enable it in the app.

1. In the app, open Settings and pick one of the four methods in the table below.
2. Click Edit (or Add Dynamic Rate) and click Enable.
3. Fill in the delivery settings explained in the next guide, then click Save.

TipWith Dynamic Rates, the Name and Code cannot be changed after you save, so choose them carefully.

Step 5

Choose your delivery settings

Each delivery method has the same settings. They decide which DHB service is booked and when.

1. Service: the DHB speed for these orders, for example 1-hour Express, 3-hour or 5-hour delivery.
2. Vehicle Type: only needed for on-demand services.
3. Payment Method: Cash by Receiver for cash on delivery, Cash by Sender, or Customer Wallet to pay from your DHB wallet.
4. Create delivery order when: the Shopify stage that sends the order to DHB, for example when it is paid or fulfilled.
5. Fulfill Shopify order when: the DHB status that marks the Shopify order as fulfilled, for example when it is delivered.
6. Attach tracking info: switch on to add the DHB live tracking link to the Shopify order.

TipCash on delivery collected by our riders goes to your DHB wallet, the same as orders you book in the app.

Step 6

Orders, tracking and cancellations

Once a method is on, orders flow to DHB by themselves. Here is how to follow them.

1. Your customer checks out with an enabled delivery method. DHB creates the delivery at the stage you chose, with the customer name, address, phone and email.
2. In the app, open Orders to see each delivery, download the shipping label, open live tracking or cancel.
3. Need help with an order? Send us its order code from the Orders list and we find it right away.
4. To keep cancellations in sync, open Settings → Order Cancellation and switch on one or both options.

TipEvery order needs a full shipping address in Shopify, or it cannot be sent to DHB.

Step 7

Connect your own system with the API

For your own website, app, ERP or POS. Your developer books DHB deliveries and reads their status directly.

1. Get your Client Id and Client Secret as in the first guide.
2. Your developer requests an OAuth2 access token with these keys, then calls the DHB API at https://rest.dhbahrain.bh.
3. Ask us on WhatsApp or by email for the API documentation and a test run before you go live.

TipKeys must stay on your server. Never put the Client Secret in a mobile app or in website code that customers can see.
